THOUGHTS

Dear Fellow Leaders,
One leadership strategy that has contributed greatly to my success so far as GARMA President is empowering others to serve effectively in their respective roles.
I have always believed that leadership is not about doing everything yourself, but about recognizing the abilities of those around you, trusting them, and giving them opportunities to contribute.
As GARMA President, I ensure that every member of the Presidency is allowed to perform their assigned responsibilities. The General Secretary handles secretarial duties, my assistants provide support in various areas, and I delegate specific responsibilities to members of the Presidency to supervise, coordinate, and report back to me.
This approach creates a sense of belonging, responsibility, and importance among those serving with you. It helps every leader feel valued, trusted, and needed.
Another principle I hold strongly is consultation and collective decision-making. I do not make major decisions alone. I seek input from members of the Presidency, listen carefully to their counsel, respect their opinions, and consider their recommendations before moving forward.
I have learned that a good leader does not need to have all the answers. Great leadership is about bringing people together, recognizing their strengths, and working toward a common goal.
I decided to share these thoughts because I believe they may be helpful to us as we continue serving in our various leadership capacities.
Remember: Leadership is not about how much you can do alone, but how much you can accomplish by empowering others.
Thank you, and may we all continue to grow in wisdom, humility, and effective leadership.
Ernest Ena
GARMA President
