About us
In 2020, a small group of returned missionaries who had served in the Ghana Accra Mission came together with a vision to unite and support their fellow brothers and sisters from the same mission. Led by Brother Sadare Dalapo, they established a WhatsApp group to bring together members across different countries. As members joined, excitement grew as old friends reunited—veterans in the Lord’s service, reconnecting after years of missionary work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ghana.
Our Story
Since those beginnings, GARMA has grown to a community of over 200 returned missionaries from around the world, all supporting and strengthening one another.
GARMA’s leadership is organized across international lines, with a presidency overseeing the global group and both male and female Country Welfare Coordinators leading GARMA efforts within their respective countries. Each country also has Zone Coordinators to guide local zones, reporting to their Country Welfare Coordinators. Additionally, Country Financial Coordinators in each nation manage financial activities and ensure accurate auditing.
Our vision is to build a strong support system for our members and contribute meaningfully to the communities we live in.
