TESTIMONIES
Serving a full-time mission has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. It strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ, taught me the power of selfless service, and deepened my love for others. Through daily study, prayer, and sharing the gospel, I developed greater spiritual resilience and a stronger testimony of God’s plan. My mission also helped me cultivate essential life skills—patience, perseverance, and effective communication—that continue to bless my personal and professional life. Above all, it brought me closer to Christ and filled my life with lasting joy and purpose.

Mission Changed my Life
Serving a mission in Ghana has changed my life forever. Witnessing converts deeply engaged in gospel study and striving to live Christ-like lives has strengthened my own testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I remember a profound experience from my time serving in Kumasi. My companion, Elder Apulo from Samoa, and I were teaching a family of seven. They couldn’t speak English, but I began the discussion in English, doing my best to convey the message of the gospel. By the end of our discussion, the family asked me a question in Twi. To my surprise—and to the shock of both the family and my companion—I responded fluently in Twi. I hadn’t learned the language, yet I was speaking it clearly and confidently. In that sacred moment, I realized I had been speaking in tongues throughout the entire discussion.
This experience changed my life forever. It was a powerful testament that the Lord qualifies those He calls. The Spirit worked through me to reach that family in their heart language, affirming to me that the gifts of the Spirit are real and that the Lord is actively involved in His work.
My mission in Ghana taught me that miracles still happen, and that the Spirit can guide us in ways beyond our understanding.
